Inquiry

Why do we have provincial governments?

The provincial government has a large influence on your life. For example, the provincial government is responsible for health such as hospitals, nurses, and doctors. It is responsible for schools, where they are built, who the teachers are, and what curriculum — the topics — you learn about in school.

Consider the following questions during your inquiry:

  1. Why do we need a provincial government?

  2. How is the provincial government different from local or federal government?

  3. What do provincial governments do?

  4. What services do provincial governments provide?
