Can you imagine cars that can drive on water? Stop dreaming! They
already exist! The Gibbs Aquada is a car that can travel at high speed
on both land and water. It does so with very interesting lever
technology that allows the
wheels to fold into the wheel wells of the car so they do not
drag in the water.

The most important part of the Gibbs Aquada is its ability to propel itself on both land and water. It has only one engine. When it is on land, the engine powers the axles that make the wheels turn. However, in the water, the Aquada engine powers
a water jet instead of the wheels. The water jet blasts water at high speed, pushing the Aquada forward in the water. The Gibbs Aquada is an example of using various forces to move a vehicle. If you are designing your own vehicle, you have many
choices of force to provide the power to make your vehicle move. What are the main types of forces that move vehicles?
