5.3 To Wear (to carry)

The verb llevar in Spanish often means to carry, but in the context of clothing llevar is used to say what someone is wearing.

For example:

Mi papá lleva un traje y una corbata. 
  → My dad is wearing a suit and tie.

Llevar is a regular —ar verb and is conjugated as follows:

Llevar → to wear/carry
Yo llevo 
Nosotros/Nosotras llevamos 
Tú llevas 
Vosotros/Vosotras lleváis 
Él/Ella/Ud lleva 
Ellos/Ellas/Uds llevan
