To find the surface area of a 3D object, the 2D shapes that make up the surfaces of the object must first be defined.
Surface area
The surface area of a 3D object is the total area of the object’s net. |

For all calculations: When π is used in a formula, use the π function of your calculator or you can use 3.14 for the value of π.
