D. Determining Zeros by Factoring
There are many ways to determine the zeros of a quadratic function. As seen in Section C, if given the factored form of the function, you can determine the zeros by calculating the values of \(x\) that will cause one or more of the factors to equal zero. Recall that you reviewed factoring in Lesson 2.2. You have the tools to factor quadratic functions in standard form, and you can use the factors to determine the zeros of the function.
