G. Writing the Equation of the Function

Given the graph of a quadratic function, you can determine the equation of the function in standard form by first applying the process you learned in Lesson 2.1 for determining the equation of the function in vertex form: determine the coordinates of the vertex as \((p, q)\), then use a second point on the graph to solve for \(a\). If the question asks for the function to be written in standard form, expand the vertex form, and simplify.
