B. Solving Radical Equations
When solving a radical equation, you will apply the same algebraic processes involved when you solve any other type of equation. However, you must start by identifying any restrictions on the variable(s). The second very important difference is that all solutions must be verified. Radical equations can produce extraneous roots during the process of removing the radical. Extraneous roots are solutions that have been determined correctly, but do not satisfy the original equation.
