Unit 4: Trigonometry
Trigonometry, like algebra, is one of the core topics studied in mathematics. Trades, such as construction, and the field of engineering use trigonometry on a regular basis. In Math 10C, you worked with the Pythagorean Theorem, right triangles, and the primary trigonometric ratios. Math 20-1 continues the exploration of trigonometry, focusing on angles in standard position, reference angles, the sine law, and the cosine law. The work you do in trigonometry in Math 20-1 is the foundation for trigonometric functions studied in Math 30-1.
