F. Solving Basic Trigonometric Equations

Solving a trigonometric equation for angles in standard position involves determining the measure of the angle or angles that make the equation true. You now have sufficient knowledge to solve for the reference angle of a given trigonometric equation. Using the reference angle and the CAST rule, you can then determine the measure of an angle in standard position that will satisfy the given equation. The process of solving a trigonometric equation is demonstrated in Example 1.
