Preparing to Read Hamlet

You must finish reading Hamlet by Assignment 3.3.

Time to Read


  • Review the Sticky Note tutorial.
  • Choose one sticky note colour to represent one of the four areas identified here.
  • Make notations, summaries, comments, and questions as you read through Hamlet in relation to the identified areas.

    • Note: You will not be required to submit a summary of your sticky notes at the end of your reading. However, annotating in this way will be a huge time saver when it comes to completing the assignments for Hamlet; you will not have to search through the entire play to find key quotations or events to help support your thinking.
