Writing Revision

The Writing Process

Open the Reference Poster: The Writing Process and take a look at the Rethink and Revise box. Think about how revision fits into the writing process.

Revision is about:

  • rereading and reviewing a piece of writing to identify elements that need improvement
  • using feedback from the teacher and peers
  • making changes and adjustments to improve the content, clarity and interest of written work

It requires you to think reflectively about the piece of writing.
