Think Like a Reader


Effective readers always know their purpose for reading a story. For example, if you are reading a graphic novel, you are most likely reading for fun and to relax. If you are reading a school textbook, you are most likely reading to learn something new.

Effective readers also use different strategies to help them understand what they read. Two of these strategies are making predictions and inferring. You are going to be practising these two strategies in this lesson.
