Unit 5
What Are the Traits of a Good Mystery?
Activity
Making Connections
Think Like a Reader
Another reading strategy that you can use to make meaning is to make connections between what you are reading and your life, the world, and other stories you have read. You have already practised this reading strategy in Unit 1 in the Lesson 2 - Making Connections section. If you need help remembering how to make connections, please look back at this lesson now.
Look at the poster What's the Mystery? Sammy on the Case that you downloaded on the Predicting and Inferring - Think Like a Reader page, and fill out the Making Connections worksheet with how the story relates to your life, the world, and other texts you have read.
