Page 101

Look carefully at the image on page 101 of Literacy in Action. You can see an image of Earth from the perspective of the moon. Turn the page and you will see the same siteline (moon to Earth) from another perspective (Earth to moon).


Page 103

View page 103 of Literacy in Action. Page 103 shows a girl practising her cello, noticing a paper airplane in the sky outside her window. Turn the page and you will see the same siteline (window to sky) from another perspective (sky to window).


Page 105

View page 105 of Literacy in Action. You can see the view of the Earth and sky from outside an airplane. Turn the page and you will see the same siteline (sky to plane) from the opposite perspective (plane to sky).


Each of these pairs of illustrations draws attention to how different perspectives can influence our reactions and feelings when viewing. Review the three sets of illustrations.
