Lesson 6

Reflecting on Your Reading

  • a written response about courage

Reflect

To Reflect or Reflecting on your reading, means to think about what you have read;

  • think about the different stories you read
  • what were the themes and ideas in these stories
  • think about how the stories are related
  • look for similarities and differences in the stories
  • decide on your opinion of courage
  • relate the stories to what you already know
  • think about the reading strategies that helped you understand the ideas about courage

Review the work you completed so far, thinking about the theme, or main idea about courage in the different stories and pictures.
Gather ideas to answer the Big Question: "How do real people and fictional characters display courage?"
