Practice Creating Word Art

Practice creating some word art yourself. Be creative!


  • Brainstorm a list of words from your favourite topic, sport, or hobby.
  • Arrange at least five words creatively on your page.
  • Title your selection Word Art Practice.

Download the Word Art worksheet for instructions to create word art words if you have Microsoft Word on your computer. Try these creative shapes, colours, and shading with other computer programs or free-hand drawing.

  1. Download the document Word Art.
  2. IMPORTANT NOTE: When the download screen opens:
      • Click the "Open with" button.
      • Select "Adobe Reader".
      • Click "OK".
      • You will then be able to view the document Word Art.

Save

How to save a file for submission:


  1. Have the file open and select Save As from the File menu.
  2. Select your Documents folder as the location to Save In.
  3. Name the document. You will always name your documents in a similar way.
      • Use the first letter of your first name, followed by your last name, then an underscore (_), then the name of the file.
      • In this case, the file name is Word Art Practice. For example, if my name is John Smith, I would name my file jsmith_wordartpractice.

  4. Click Save. Your chart is in your Documents folder.
