U5-L1.2 Ogre Restaurant
Completion requirements
Unit 5
Make me laugh!
Activities for Awful Ogre Takes His Supper
You have two assignments:
-
make a menu for an ogre restaurant, and share it with other students
- learn the meaning of some tricky words in the poem
Ogre Restaurant
Create a menu for an ogre restaurant.
What do think ogres would eat if they could go to a restaurant just for them? Would food there be different from food in a human restaurant?
Your job is to create a menu for an ogre restaurant. Think of foods you think ogres would like to eat, then use the Ogre Restaurant template to create your special menu. Since our unit is about "the recipe for funny", perhaps you would like to include some funny entries.
As you write your menu, think about good word choices. Using good word choices can make your menu options funnier if you describe them in a silly way with great descriptive words.
If possible, ask a friend or family member to answer the following questions about your ogre menu:
-
Would ogres think menu items sound delicious?
- Do you think ogres would like to eat in this restaurant?
- What item would you add to the menu if you were an ogre?
