Welcome to Beechy, Saskatchewan

Beechy is a small village in South East Saskatchewan in a valley with rolling hills surrounding it and home of the sand castles.

Beechy is a very small town called a village. Beechy borders on the Coteau Hills, which is a large group of hills that surround the valley where the town is located. The town is 18 km from the Saskatchewan River. The valley to the south is the beginning of Snakebite Coulee that drains in to the South Saskatchewan River.

There are many attractions to see in Beechy for such a small place. A professional rodeo is held in Beechy every September called “Beechy Western Days” where you can see lots of horse riders and rodeo events. Just outside of town you can find the famous “sand castles”, which are large formations of sand built up to form hills of different shapes.

The landform of Beechy is much the same as many of the farming communities in this area. The valley where the village is located is flat valley land, which is flat land with no hills. Surrounding the town is the “Coteau Hills”, which is a large group of hills with lots of trees.

Beechy is a small town but has many different areas around it for tourists to visit like the sand castles, sand dunes, Coteau Hills, and the Saskatchewan River.
