What is Active Citizenship

An active citizen is someone who makes a difference. An active citizen works together with others to make the world a better place. This unit has been about ways that you can make a difference. View the short film below which lists other ways you can make a difference.

For this assessment, you will choose one of the following ways to show active citizenship.

You will research and support a park or World Heritage site.

Or, you will research an environmental issue in your community by interviewing a knowledgeable person.

Or, you will write about active citizenship and tell how you are making a good difference in your local community.

On either of these options, you will identify your position on the issue you have chosen and explain your reasons for this position.
