Assignment
Follow each of these steps, in order, to complete your assignment.
Step 1: Before you begin, examine the
rubric to review how you will be assessed on this assignment.
Step 2: Examine the assignment instructions on this page.
Step 3: Read the OPTIONAL narrative essay โStill Me Inside,โ by Mai Goda on p. 335 of Between the Lines 12, which you may choose to refer to in your Literary Exploration Essay, though this is NOT REQUIRED. However, you MUST write about a text you have studied in the course so far. Some students find that writing about a novel is a bit easier than the shorter texts they've read in the course. If you would like to come back to this assignment after you have read the novel, you may do so.
Step 4: Listen to an audio recording of โStill Me Insideโ as you follow along, if youโd like.
Step 5: Read Tyrone's student example to give you a sense of how your assignment should look, though please note Tyrone wrote about a text that you will likely be unfamiliar with. You must write about a text you've studied earlier in this course, or wait and write about your course novel once you have read it.
