3.3 Investigating the Outsider

Assignment Instructions
In this assignment, you will be researching an outsider of your choice by examining and answering four depth questions.
1. Read and view the literature in the 3.3 Media tab and the previous "Time to Read" page. 2. Choose a specific individual or group that would be considered "outsiders" and explore why some people choose to live beyond the "margins" of society, as well as effects being forced into an "outsider" role can have on an individual. Remember that we are all different from others in some way; please present your opinions in a respectful manner. 3. Choose four questions from the list in the 3.3 worksheet to focus your investigation on. 4. Complete the Depth Questions Chart based on what you know now and what you find in your research. Remember to paraphrase all your findings. 5. Plan out a response in the Brainstorming section of the worksheet, to present your gathered information in. You can create a mind map, an outline or any other format helping you organize your ideas. 6. Select and complete a presentation of your research from the following options:

Save your polished work as 3_3Investigating_Outsider and submit the mind-map, the documented research, and the final presentation to the 3.3 Investigating the Outsider dropbox. 1.
