Completion requirements
Try your hand at planning a paragraph.
1. Brainstorm ideas for topics as was explained in the activity.
You may use a computer or paper to complete this assignment.
1. You can type your work directly into the assignment box on the next
page by clicking the "add submission" button under the orange box at the
bottom of this page.
2. If you type your work into the attached Word documents, save your documents, and either send them to your teacher as an e-mail attachment or print them off and then hand them in to your teacher so they can be marked.
3. You can also choose to complete a hand-written assignment on a piece of paper. If so, please hand in your assignment to your teacher so it can be marked.

Try your hand at planning a paragraph.
Imagine you have an assignment where you have to write a paragraph on a topic of your choice. You DO NOT need to write the paragraph, just go through the planning process.
Complete the following steps:
1. Brainstorm ideas for topics as was explained in the activity.- First, list five general topics.
- Then, choose three of these general topics and list three to five specific topics for each of these. /10
2. Choose a specific topic you could write about from your topics planner. /1
3. Identify the following about the paragraph you would write (You may complete this work on the attached topics planner as well.):
- your purpose /1
- the audience /1
- the form you are going to use AND why you would use this form — descriptive, expository, narrative, or persuasive /2
You may use a computer or paper to complete this assignment.
When you are done, review for spelling.
Please do one of the following:
