Module 7 Summary

The ability to research and to present your understanding of a topic or concept are important skills. In this module you demonstrated your understanding of a Mathematics 20-2 concept. For this project, you were able to choose the topic and were able to choose how you would present your findings. Throughout the preparation of your presentation, you were able to check the assessment guide to measure how well you were doing.

The purpose of this project was to provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate—through various real-life applications—your understanding of a concept you learned in this course and to enable you to see the role mathematics plays in society. Now that you have completed your project, do you now have answers to the two questions: “Why do I need to know this?” and “When am I ever going to use this?”
