Looking Backward

Fabulous—you are almost finished CCS3140!

Sessions in this course focused on how child care providers and families need to learn from each other and work together. In each of the sessions it was stressed that, rather than making generalizations about a child or family based on cultural backgrounds or family structure, child care providers need to learn about the particularities of each child and family.

Overall, the focus of this course examined family dynamics and issues. You worked on developing skills to support and promote cultural identities of children in child care programs.
