Project: Dance: Universal Language

Many people consider dance a combination of ‘art’ and ‘athletics’. To watch skilled dancers is to take the viewer on a journey. Simply put, dance is a universal form of communication. Choreographers use the dancers to tell a story. Whether this is a complete two hour Broadway play or a one minute contemporary dance, stories are being told through the dancer’s movements.

For this project, you will have the choice between choreographing/performing your own dance which tells a story (Option A) or analyzing a choreographed dance (Option B) and retelling the story.
