Certificates


You now have the opportunity to earn two or more ladder certificates, that will become part of your portfolio or training records.

Follow the directions below, for each ladder certificate, in order to earn your certificate of completion.

Registration

First, you will need to register with the American Ladder Association; registration is free.  Download the directions  to help you register.  After you have downloaded and read the registration instructions, click here to access the website.  Follow the registration directions, step by step, to register.
You are now ready to earn your certificates.

Step-Ladder Certificate
  1. To begin earning your certificate, take the Pretest on Stepladders, to review what you have already learned and to identify any gaps in your learning.
  2. Now watch the Training Video on Stepladders; you will review some of the information you have learned and learn some new information.
  3. After you have watched the video, take the Final Test. This quiz will cover information from this unit and the video.  If you achieve 50% or higher, you will pass the quiz; if you achieve a mark of 90% or higher, you will receive the ladder safety training certificate for stepladders.

Single and Extension Ladders

  1. Complete the Single and Extension Ladder Pretest to review what you have already learned and to identify any gaps in your learning.
  2. Watch the video to review information and learn something new about Single and Extension ladders.
  3. Now complete the Final Test; successfully achieving 90% or higher, allows you to input your name into the safety training certificate and print it for your portfolio.


                            

Extend Your Learning

  • If you are enjoying learning about ladder safety and find it useful, you can now take it to the next level. 
  • You can complete the Articulated Ladder Safety Training and the Mobile Ladder Safety Training.
  • If you successfully complete these, you will then have four ladder training certificates for your training profile.
  • These certificates are not required for the completion of this course, but they are useful for you and can be shown to potential employers to demonstrate previous training.
