My Advertisement
You have learned how designers create ads for a target audience.
Now, it's time for you to try making your own advertisement to appeal to an audience you choose.

View the Never Worry Again Poster, and the three posters for the same cell phone you have already viewed on pages 70 to 75 of Literacy in Action.
Ask yourself these questions as you review the posters:
- How did the slogan catch the viewerβs attention?
- How did the descriptive words in the bullet points appeal to the audience?
- How did the artist select appropriate images to target the audience?
- How did the artist communicate the main idea of the image?
- What did you notice about the colours and compositions used in the advertisements?
Follow these directions to make your advertisement:
Choose an event you want to advertise or a product you want to sell, and then open the document Planning and Constructing an Advertisement.
- Complete the plan with your ideas for your ad.
- Decide how you will create your adβhand drawn or with an online draw program.
- Gather or create any images you are going to use.
- Make your ad.
- Remember to focus on your target audience.
