You will be using three reading strategies to help you read material in reports.

Use What You Know
Helps you make new information easier to understand and remember. You use what you know about a place, either having been to a place like it, or read about it, so that you can connect the new information to something you are familiar with.

Decide What's Important
This means reading a whole section of a report and deciding which are the most important parts.

Summarize
This means organizing the important information you find into sections. You can do this with different organizers to help you like charts, webs, and sentences with key points.
You will be practicing the; "Use What You Know, Decide What's Important & Summarize, reading strategies in the next three lessons.
