Follow the steps to get started in the PE course.  There are many tasks to complete prior to starting activity hours.  If you need help, especially with the Course Plan Proposal, contact your teacher.  It is not an expectation that you do the course plan proposal 'on your own'.  The teacher will be able to assist you with making sure your plan meets ALL required parameters.  Expect to be a little confused at times, it takes a little while to narrow down which parameters apply to your personal situation.  In the end, you will have a personalized activity hour plan (course plan proposal) that works for both yourself and for the course requirements.

  1. Watch the PE Boot Camp video.
  2. Complete the Boot Camp quiz.
  3. Read through the Course Requirements and Assessment section to learn how you will be assessed and what the course requirements entail.
  4. Read through the Safety Guidelines section.
  5. Read through the Supervision Section to ensure you understand by who and how you will be supervised.
  6. Complete the Safety Guidelines and Supervision Quiz.
  7. Read through the section on Accident Insurance
  8. Read through the Activity Dimensions to learn the different activities that are in each dimension.
  9. Download and print the Course Plan Proposal (located on 'Course Forms' page in course. You are not expected to complete this on your own.  Contact your teacher for help with this.  Complete it with a parent or guardian and submit it to your teacher.
  10. Download and print the Informed Consent Waiver. Complete it with a parent or guardian and submit it to your teacher.
  11. Review the content in the Monthly Logs section to understand how you will track your activities through the course. Download and save the the PE Hour Tracking form to have on hand for when you start your activity hours.  Review the Monthly log Reflection assignment page so you know the expectations of the activity hours.
  12. Review the Projects section to preview the six projects that you will complete throughout the course. You can being working on the projects at any time.
  13. Research the CPR component and begin to figure out if you have current certification or if you will need to be accessing a CPR course at some point while you are taking the PE 10 course.
  14. Use the Progress Tracking Form throughout your course to keep track of tasks you have completed. It is found in the course introduction section.


Complete all required forms and submit them for approval. Use the checklist throughout your course to keep track of tasks you have completed. You can begin logging activity hours once your course forms are received and approved. Your teacher will contact you once you are approved to start.
