As you read the story, use the prediction strategy. This reading strategy was discussed in the lesson on Miaβs Problem. If you need a review, go to Miaβs Problem.
You will practise making inferences with another inference game. If you need a review, go to A New Beginning.

Challenge Story Choices
For this assessment, you will choose one of two stories about real people who must deal with challenge.
(Of course, you may read them both β the more reading, the better!)
Decide which story you will read. Then use the reading strategies of inferring and predicting to complete the worksheet for that story. If you have any questions about meaning in the story you chose, contact your teacher.
Click the coloured tabs below to select which story you will read, to learn how characters faced their challenge.
